Magellan PDP 

Make your move from college to the work world a smart one by applying for Magellan’s Professional Development Program.  Recent college graduates have a unique opportunity to accelerate their learning and career experience in a few short years.  Successful candidates will rotate through three to five departments within the company, gaining valuable experience and a great understanding of the overall business.  Participants also receive mentoring from key leaders to further promote development throughout their rotations. 


Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply: 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in general business or a related field 
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (in major area of study and overall) 
  • Three years or less professional work experience 
  • Participation in and demonstrated leadership roles in philanthropic, civic or other organizations 

Magellan Midstream Partners accepts applications for the PDP annually. The recruiting window is typically January through April and August through November. Rotations typically start either January or June of each year.

IT Internships Available

Information Technology (IT) Interns will carry out assigned responsibilities under direct supervision from IT department management. 

The general responsibilities for this position could include:

  • Development and support of business enterprise applications and company infrastructure
  • IT project planning, coordination and execution
  • Supporting business custom-developed and vendor-provided applications and associated interfaces based upon background
  • Gain experience with IT/OT Infrastructure Operations and Management of assets
  • Gain experience working with IT Contracts and license management
  • Assists with projects involving database & security issues and requirements
  • .Net development skills and C# SQL Server, Oracle DB, JavaScript, Telerik Controls and Structured Query Language (SQL) development skills are preferred
  • Perform other projects and assignments as directed
  • Work closely with IT Management and business/operations personnel


  • Working toward Bachelor’s or Master's degree in MIS, CS or related fields
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (in major area of study and overall)
